THE CORPORATE MISSION::DAAR COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED

The mission of DAAR Communication is borne out of a Pan-African cum-humanist vision of its founder CHIEF ALEOGHO A. DOKPESI who holds a Directorate Degree in Marine Transport Engineering from the University of Gdansk, Sopot in Poland.

The vision is to rapidly promote the integration of the African continent with the rest of the world, encourage development in African and attract development to Africa through communications. His desire was to bridge the yawning gap in the world’s information order which perpetually places Africa and third world countries at the ruthless mercy of western perspectives opinions and nuances.

DAAR Communication’s corporate goal is to promote the reduction of tension and friction, enhance global understanding and achieve global harmony through a greater appreciation of humanity in all its manifestations. Africa is the cardinal focus of DAARCommuncation’s corporate objectivities. Humanity is its corporate constituency. This thematic philosophy is amply reflected in the focus and directions of the Company’s operations.

Through its corporate mission, DAAR Communications hopes to positively project Africa, Africans and the black world to the rest of the world.

ABOUT THE COMPANY::DAAR COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED

DAAR Communications is a private Independent Africa Communication outfit based in Lagos, Nigeria’s former capital and the economics nerve centre of the West Africa sub-region.
DAAR Communications was incorporated in Nigeria in August 1998. It boasts of a successful background in the closely related fields of printing and publishing. DAAR launched its broadcast services in 1994 with the promotion of Nigeria’s first private independent radio station Raypower 100.5 FM.
A second channel Raypower 2 106.5FM commenced formal operation in April 1999. Before then, DAAT Communications had launched a 24 hours global Television service with the call sign Africa Independent Television (AIT) with thematic philosophy that is geared towards the promotion of Africa values and traditions of black people across the world.
In the last quarter of 1999 DAAR Communications launched into the information super highway with the commencement of DAAR broadband Internet Services with capacity for invoice, internet access, video conferencing, data, telephony and other multi-media capabilities. DAAR Internet Services completes the circle of DAAR Communications Limited communications convergence strategy. DAAR Communications Limited with a staff of about 600 people in Africa, Europe and the United State is worth about 3.5 billion Naira.

In line with the global trend of the new information age which has achieved a convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications, DAAR Communications has fully installed and integrated equipment using its international satellite gateway system capable of handling voice, data and video telecommunications to virtually every country in the world.
Technological innovations in digital and fiber optic networks and other areas of communication and broadcasting transmissions will redefine the total nature and system of communication in the new millennium. The synergy of voice, data, and video is an area of intense technological revision.
In appreciation of the fact that the synergistic combination of computer, telephone, fiber-optic, and video will open a new chapter in revenue generation across multi-industry frontiers in the twenty-first century, DAAR Communications Limited has positioned itself by installing equipment and facilities capable of handling voice, Data and video telecommunications globally.
